Canon Point: After S2E24-MMMystery on the Friendship Express, before S2E5-A Canterlot Wedding - Part 1
History:
Fluttershy was born in Cloudsdale, a city that's made from floating clouds in the sky. She was often bullied and made fun of for being a weak and clumsy flyer, others jeering her with quotes of "Fluttershy, Fluttershy, Fluttershy can hardly fly". This had lead her to be withdrawn and a doormat. The only one who really defended her was a blue pegasus named Rainbow Dash.
When she was being bullied again, this time people calling her "Klutzershy", Rainbow Dash challenged those teasing Fluttershy to a race. They begun, but Fluttershy was knocked out of Cloudsdale by the speeding young pegasi. In fact, she might have splattered on the ground if not for a flock of butterflies. They saved her from falling to the ground and gently set her down.
There, she saw many creatures she never saw before. The flora and fauna was beautiful on the ground and Fluttershy celebrated the beauty of it. Well, at least until she was interrupted by a loud boom; of which the source was Rainbow Dash performing a Sonic Rainboom. All the animals Fluttershy was with were terrified of the noise and panicked, hiding away. Fluttershy decided to comfort and reassure them, saying that it's safe. It was then she got her cutie mark: three butterflies.
Over the years as she entered adulthood, Fluttershy bought a house near The Everfree Forest(Where the weather and animals aren't controlled by ponies) and introduced Rainbow Dash to Ponyville. She normally lived in near-seclusion, just going on with her life and tending to her animals.
One day, the mayor of Ponyville asked her to assist in the 1000th Summer Sun Celebration. After some coercion, she agreed and began training some birds to sing during the celebration. This is the period of time where she met Twilight Sparkle, student of Princess Celestia. One mostly-silent conversation followed by finding out Twilight had Spike, a Baby Dragon later, Fluttershy decided to ask him of his life story.
A time after that, when the Summer Sun Celebration was supposed to begin, Fluttershy cued her birds to sing in Princess Celestia. Sadly, Princess Celestia didn't appear. Instea, Nightmare Moon appeared in her place, monologing about how the night will now last forever. Recuperating at Twilight Sparkle's house, Fluttershy and Twilight, along with Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie, went to find out more about The Elements of Harmony.
It turns out they were located in The Everfree Forest. There, the six ponies faced many trials, such as facing an angry Manticore and calming it by removing the thorn from its paw, they arrived at an abandoned castle. There, they faced off against Nightmare Moon, found The Elements of Harmony, and used them on her, thereby restoring her to Princess Luna, the true Princess of the Night.
They celebrated after that, and had many adventures together. Fluttershy was yelled at by a griffin, got rid of a dragon, helped get rid of a swarm of ravenous bugs, was rescued from a bog, watched Rainbow Dash in a contest held in Cloudsdale, saved some young fillies from a cockatrice, was a famous model for a while, and temporarily went insane at a high-class gala.
Things settled down for a time. But all wasn't right as Discord, a shapeshifting, reality-bending god of chaos broke out of a statue he was imprisoned in and decided to wreak havoc. The six ponies traveled to Canterlot(Where Princess Celestia's castle is) in order to get the Elements of Harmony and stop him. Things went from bad to worse when the group of ponies entered a hedge maze and were separated from each other.
Fluttershy encountered the very god of chaos and draconequus himself. Discord attempted to manipulate Fluttershy into becoming Discorded through hurtful and deceitful words. But when it was clear Fluttershy was just accepting criticism, Discord just forcefully Discorded Fluttershy. It was time to be cruel.
That's exactly what she was, insulting her friends, whipping their snouts with her tail, dumping water on Twilight's head, teasing her by playing Keep-away with one of her books, et cetera et cetera. Things came to a head when the group of 6 ponies finally found the Elements of Harmony and attempted to use them on Discord. They didn't work, due to all but one having been Discord. They split up and went their separate ways, vowing to never see each other again.
However, all was not lost. A couple of days(Which was actually more like a few hours) later, Twilight barged into Fluttershy's house, tied her up, and used a memory spell on her. The cruel version of Fluttershy was buried and the regular, kind, and cowardly Fluttershy came back into being.
However, the cruel Fluttershy wasn't completely gone. After leaving one of Pinkie Pie's parties and returning to her house, Fluttershy converses with herself in a mirror. Cruel!Fluttershy then went on to taunt and belittle Fluttershy. It wasn't until after a bit of conversation that Fluttershy realized cruel!Fluttershy was just a baby who didn't know any better, so she decided to teach the cruel version of herself and took her in as a mother.
Things went sort of rocky, but eventually Fluttershy's persistance payed off. Cruel!Fluttershy, now known as Fluttercruel, was actually helping, albeight aggressively. Examples as such are when Pinkie Pie stayed up for three weeks straight and Fluttercruel knocked the pink party pony out with a frying pan and helped stop Rainbow Dash from turning evil. The sextet of pony friends evolved along with Fluttercruel. Trixie did as well.
Things self-destructed soon afterwards. Fluttercruel had begin to feel trapped and useless, not being able to do anything. She also didn't feel that she was alive. The frustration she felt caused her to take control of Flutterchy's body for an extended period of time. Fluttercruel was now the Alicorn, and Fluttershy the steed. She felt like she was alive.
Fluttercruel decided to make the best of this situation by enjoying her freedom. She dyed her hair, modeled for a famous photographer, danced at a night club, and drank enough to get hammered. Fluttershy didn't like any of this at all, so the two began arguing. Fluttercruel realized Fluttershy never faced an important lesson, so Fluttercruel took it upon herself to teach her that lesson.
They flew over to The Everfree Forest and Fluttercruel tried to teach her the cruelty of nature. She pointed out the survival of the fittest and the need for some animals to slaughter others in order to survive. She also pointed out that nature competes against itself, pointing to two nearby trees, saying that their roots would struggle against one another.
Fluttercruel ended the lesson, saying she didn't even exist. She let Fluttershy take control of their body again. However, the lesson went the complete opposite of good. Fluttercruel had Discorded Fluttershy. No, worse... he had turned her into an evil Nightmare. Fluttercruel quickly realized her mistake and tried to do anything in her power to save Fluttershy, but ultimately failed and died. Fluttershy was now Princess Gaia.
Princess Gaia swore to make the entire world kind, no matter what. She wandered through the Everfree Forest for a time, eventually happening on The Elder Horn, an artifact of great power. She took it and it further transformed her and increased her magic, transforming her into an Alicorn-like shape. From there, she happened upon Sunny Town. There, she met some ponies such as Mitta, Starlet, and Roneo. Yes, Story of the Blanks is canon in this fanfic.
It turned out Sunny Town is cursed, so Princess Gaia decided to break the curse by taking the curse. She transformed Sunny Town and The Everfree(Now Everkind) Forest into a paradise and further extended her kindness by taking everyone's pain into herself. Hubris, addiction, fear of ostracization, mental disorders, everyone. She created a fog over all of Equestria, transforming almost everyone into a baby foal. Those that weren't transformed were turned into her personal guardians for the foals.
Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Trixie Midsummernight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Spike, Pinkie Diane Pie, and Zecora made their way through Everkind in order to find the source of the trouble. They eventually found Princess Gaia in the very same castle they fought Nightmare Moon. The group chatted with Princess Gaia pleasantly, then trying to convince her to stop forcing the world to be kind.
It wasn't until Applejack noticed there wasn't any truth in her eyes that things had progressed. Princess Gaia wasn't Princess Gaia. Below the guise of Princess Gaia was Nightmare Whisper, The Kindest of Lies. Nightmare Whisper was a gigantic, mutated eldritch abomination shaped as a pony.
The group further tried convincing Nightmare Whisper. It didn't take, and most of the group had to resort to violence to try and save Fluttershy from Nightmare Whisper. Twilight tried performing a memory spell as she had when she restored the others from being Discorded. It failed, but it showed just how much sorrow and pain all of Equestria was feeling, all inside Nightmare Whisper. So much so that Twilight was Discorded for a short while.
During the fight, Fluttercruel stood on trial held in Tartarus, a place designed for the worst of the worst creatures. Hell for ponies. Fluttercruel decided to give absolutely all fucks and help Fluttershy any way she can. This involved her fighting her way out of Tartarus, back to the real world, gaining many wounds and scars in the process. Fluttercruel confessed to everyone that she was the one that turned Fluttershy into Nightmare Whisper.
She felt so guilty over that fact, that she cried and begged for forgiveness. However, she stopped when she realized she still had to help Fluttershy. This resulted in Nightmare Whisper using The Stare on Fluttercruel, but she fired back with A Stare of her own. Fluttercruel won the staredown, giving ample time for everyone to realize that Nightmare Whisper was doing all these things because she loved everything. This realization lead to The Elements of Harmony being manifested without the use of any artifacts.
Twilight, the Element of Magic, Applejack, the Element of Honesty, Rarity, the Element of Generosity, Pinkie Diane, the Element of Laughter, Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty... and Fluttercruel the Element of Kindness... and Trixie Midsummernight, the Element of Magic, had all manifested within them. However, all but one contributed to the reharmonization of Fluttershy... Trixie didn't want to lose herself.
Fluttercruel was dissolving in a void due to using magic that's against Discord's magic. Fluttercruel still didn't think she was anything, so she was perfectly fine with that. However, when Fluttershy showed up and pointed out Fluttercruel's cutie mark, she convinced her that the chaos-born Fluttercruel DID exist, and wasn't just some warped copy. Fluttercruel's cutie mark was of two hooves, as if one pony was helping another off the ground. Fluttershy and Fluttercruel were free.
They did it, but Fluttershy was still holding all the pain. After some more convincing, she let go of all the pain, allowing each suffering and misery to go back where it belonged. After recouping, they decided to travel back to Ponyville. There, Princesses Celestia and Luna greeted them. And they both punished Fluttershy and Fluttercruel. Luna by confusing which was the original and which was what was made after Discord, Celestia by telling Fluttershy that she could have killed billions of unborn foals. Princess Celestia gave them the power to switch between themselves at will, and after a while, The Flutters stood on a podium in front of a croud apologiing to everyone.
A time after, Fluttercruel's Cute-ceñera was held and she formally introduced herself to everyone. It went along chaotically fun and everyone enjoyed the celebration or 'Cruel getting her cutie mark. Life went on as usual. The Flutters adapted into society as best as they could while sharing the same body. They met a coffee shop owner named Coffee Swirl. Visits were frequent and a small incident helped Fluttershy become a better pony.
Later on, The Flutters ordered a hamburger and a Veggieburger. 'Cruel wanted the hamburger. She got the Veggieburger. Later that day, they had a journey into their own minds, where they met Flutterrage, the version of Fluttershy that was let out at the Gala. Luna's punishment came back full force. One of them had to absorb Flutterrage or risk their mind breaking down into nothing. After some panicked arguing, Fluttershy absorbed Flutterrage to gain the ability of feeling angry.
But, when a Minotaur named Iron Will came to Ponyville, 'Cruel decided to help 'Shy by taking her one of the Minotaur's self-help seminars. It was going good at first, but soon Fluttershy turned into a mean jerk who did what she want. Fluttercruel felt it was a shallow parody of herself. What's worse was that the ponies who still worshiped Fluttershy as Princess Gaia imitated this New Fluttershy. It got to the point where New Fluttershy was insulting everyone on a personal level, even Fluttercruel herself. The incident ended with Fluttercruel not feeling guilty over the Princess Gaia incident, 'Cruel gaining Iron Will as a crush, a physical fight between The Flutters, and apologies all around.
The Flutters still visit Sunny Town to try and help the cursed ponies to become uncursed. Both of them forgave Discord, life continued on, having ups and downs as usual, and all was peaceful. That is, until one day, when The Flutters were at a picnic with some friends. Fluttercruel suddenly got an extremely severe headache for no reason. This headache was so bad, it made Fluttercruel lose control of her flying, fall, and break her neck.
When They opened their eyes next, they were standing in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, They were in a place like nothing they'd ever seen. They were approached by humans, telling them that they were dead and were offered a job as a Reaper. They took it, thinking it would help challenge others to become better and stronger. They then promptly disappeared for most of a week when Fluttershy wanted to go in hiding. When they came out of hiding, they met someone named Kreutzer, and they quickly became friends. Since then, The Flutters went on to do their duty as Reapers.
However, all was not peaceful as things starting going off the wheels during her second week as a Reaper. There, everyone was transported to a strange village called Lutie where everyone thought the Reapers and Players were merely just monsters to be destroyed and looted. Kreutzer had gotten onto a spot of trouble with the native inhabitants, which The Flutters decided to try and get her out of. At first, they tried reasoning with the native inhabitants, but they were unreasonable and it devolved into a fight for a short time.
At the end of the week, Fluttercruel was told that harming people was against the rules, and was therefore punished by not being able to drink coffee for a week. For The Flutters' third week of being a Reaper, things were going semi-smoothly in Port Island until Ryoji, a fellow Reaper, was bought back to life and transformed into a monstrous creature, which The Flutters attempted to fight in order to try and bring back Ryoji.
However, week 4 for The Flutters as a Reaper was shocking. A new type of noise revealed itself. This new noise was able and willing to attack the players and reapers of the game. A lot of victims were claimed, among them were a few friends of both Kreutzer and The Flutters. This tragic event caused The Flutters to finally go rogue and stop following commands and helping people get better and stronger so she can try and investigate just what was making things become so unsafe.
Week 5 for The Flutters as a Reaper was, however, the end of her job. Everyone found themselves in a decrepit, abandoned Shibuya, Japan. Everyone wanted to find out for themselves just what was going on, even The Flutters themselves, because no one was told to help others get better or set missions. This event ended uneventfully, as The Flutters just wandered around and looted a few stores in order to snatch a new pin for herself. The Flutters have absolutely no idea what was going on, or even if they would be transported to a different location after the week was up.
Personality:
Fluttershy
Fluttershy is very shy. I'm not sure if you knew that already. She has trouble expressing any sort of bravery to the point where she can be frightened by her own shadow and leaves falling on her. She is very submissive to the point where she can even promise not to have fun. However, she's also gentle and loving. She cares deeply for her friends; both ponies and animals alike. Thusly, she's very kind and polite, embodying the Element of Kindness.
However, there's signs of a much darker side to Fluttershy. She can be pushed too far. If she sees someone she cares about getting hurt or threatened, she casts aside all of her cowardice in order to stand up to the victims and to chastise whoever is victimizing the victims. She basically becomes an angry mother demanding they do the right thing.
Fluttershy also carries a lot of guilt over the Princess Gaia incident. True to her submissive nature, she believes any negative action toward her counts as her punishment for mesing up. She's gotten better about it overtime, but it's still there.
Fluttercruel
Cruelly, at first glance, is the embodiment of cruelty. she's aggressive, direct, and very foul-mouthed. She's like a bizarro version of Fluttershy. Where Fluttershy is a coward, Fluttercruel prefers to be relaxed, casual, and free-spirited. She also has a wide stubborn streak, willing to do anything to get what she wants, provided Fluttershy doesn't stop her. True to her darker nature, her appearance is also darker.
But there's more to this mare than the eye meets. Cruelly loves Fluttershy as a mother to the point where the two are literally inseparable. She may be a bit of a jerk at times, but Fluttercruel also embodies the element of kindness. Her motto is "Cruel to be kind". And she'll do exactly that, whether it be knocking out someone who hasn't slept in days with a frying pan or continuously insulting someone in order to have them prove her wrong.
However, she can be egotistical and self-centered at times. She insists that she's her own pony and not just some disease or mental illness. Whenever anyone uggests otherwise, she'll likely get angry. Che can also be childish at times, making juvenile jokes or insults.
Both
Though the relationship between the two are Mother(Fluttershy) and Daughter(Fluttercruel), they do not always get along due to differing tastes. This can lead to physical violence between the two. Their conflicting viewpoints can also lead to them arguing mentally against each other. But when it comes down to it, either one will support the other in times of need.
Strengths:
Both Fluttershy and Fluttercruel possess The Element of Kindness, so both are able to use their element to power The Elements of Harmony. Both preoccupy the same body of a Pegasus, so both have the power of flight and can theoretically manipulate weather. Because both preoccupy the same body, Fluttershy and Fluttercruel can switch who's taking control of it at will or by force. Fluttershy has a natural gift of taking care of and being able to understand animals.
However, they both possess their greatest weapon: The Stare. It's function is to intimidate it's target into submission, and has beaten a dragon, a cockatrice, and an evil, insane version of Fluttershy... who was using The Stare right back. However, The Stare can't be controlled and only comes out in the most dire situations.
They are both also dead. They're a Reaper, which means they can travel between the living world and Tartarus Whilst in Tartarus, they may be able to use various pins with various special abilities, such as creating barriers and telekinetically attacking things. These pins can also be used on the denizens that occupy Tartarus. In the living world, these pins have no special ability.
Weaknesses:
Just because two people are occupying a single body doesn't mean that they totally function in sync with each other. It could lead to some awkward situations where Fluttershy may react to one of Fluttercruel's thoughts, leaving her to look insane.
In addition to that, Fluttershy and Fluttercruel are also weak fliers, being unable to fly as fast as a normal pegasus. This is because Fluttershy has spent the majority of her life on the ground.
Fluttercruel isn't that old, and is therefore emotionally immature. She often whines whenever she doesn't get her way, or has more temper tantrums than a normal adult would have. She'll also resort to childish name calling at times, and may even break down crying when emotionally hit hard enough. She also has an addiction to coffee and can get irritable whenever she doesn't have at least one cup a day.

[The scroll opens up to a familiar face. Except it doesn't really seem so familiar. It's different. It's Fluttershy... except for the fact that the entirety of her seems duller and darker. You may also notice that her eyes are sort of slitted like a dragon, or that she has some small fangs.]
Bucking higher-ups... Okay, everyone, listen up because we have some demands. The first one... Where the buck is Kreutzer? ...Or Asakura? We didn't wake up in a train, and our bucking phone isn't working.
[She pauses, bringing up a strange object some of you may recognize as a cell phone. She fiddles with it for a little bit, then grunts and puts it away.]
We're not getting any signal either... Did you buck up our phones!? Where the buck is Lovers!? You cancelled the game, and we demand answers! Now! Come on, you slimy pieces of dragon fewmet-eating-
[Just then, Fluttershy seems to cut herself off from saying anything else. Another strange thing happens. Fluttershy's mane and tail go back to a lighter, more vibrant shade, the fangs disappear and the eyes go back to normal.]
Um, I'm terribly sorry about her... But can you, um, please give us some answers, now that the game is over?
Third Person:
Fluttershy and Fluttercruel were sort of freaking out. They were back in Ponyville. It was their home. Before they died. Sure, she had only been gone for a couple of months, but The Flutters still felt weird. Before, she was in an abandoned town, covered in plants and moss, destroyed. The Taboo Noise were on the prowl and players and reapers alike were disappearing. The higher ups had cancelled the game, but for what purpose? If the game was cancelled, shouldn't she have been sent back home? She took a sip of her coffee, and then...
They woke up and looked around. They saw familiar buildings and people. Ponies here and there, she recognized. She looked around some more. She couldn't find anyone she recognized that was from the game. No Ryoji, no Kreutzer, no Grovyle, no Lovers, not even Asakura. Was she really back home? Did it really take that much time to return her home? Fluttershy and Fluttercruel were sort of freaking out. But it was in a good way. They were both extremely happy to be back home.
But something lingered in the back of Fluttercruel's mind. Fluttershy and Fluttercruel looked to the direction of The Everfree Forest. It... it was almost as if there was a tug, urging them to go in that direction. Neither of them understood why that tug was there, so anger filled their body. Just what exactly were the higher-ups planning and why did they want The Flutters to head to The Everfree Forest? Fluttercruel was going to get some answers, even if she had to beat them out of people.

Fluttershy encountered the very god of chaos and draconequus himself. Discord attempted to manipulate Fluttershy into becoming Discorded through hurtful and deceitful words. But when it was clear Fluttershy was just accepting criticism, Discord just forcefully Discorded Fluttershy. It was time to be cruel.
That's exactly what she was, insulting her friends, whipping their snouts with her tail, dumping water on Twilight's head, teasing her by playing Keep-away with one of her books, et cetera et cetera. Things came to a head when the group of 6 ponies finally found the Elements of Harmony and attempted to use them on Discord. They didn't work, due to all but one having been Discord. They split up and went their separate ways, vowing to never see each other again.
However, all was not lost. A couple of days(Which was actually more like a few hours) later, Twilight barged into Fluttershy's house, tied her up, and used a memory spell on her. The cruel version of Fluttershy was buried and the regular, kind, and cowardly Fluttershy came back into being.
However, the cruel Fluttershy wasn't completely gone. After leaving one of Pinkie Pie's parties and returning to her house, Fluttershy converses with herself in a mirror. Cruel!Fluttershy then went on to taunt and belittle Fluttershy. It wasn't until after a bit of conversation that Fluttershy realized cruel!Fluttershy was just a baby who didn't know any better, so she decided to teach the cruel version of herself and took her in as a mother.
Things went sort of rocky, but eventually Fluttershy's persistance payed off. Cruel!Fluttershy, now known as Fluttercruel, was actually helping, albeight aggressively. Examples as such are when Pinkie Pie stayed up for three weeks straight and Fluttercruel knocked the pink party pony out with a frying pan and helped stop Rainbow Dash from turning evil. The sextet of pony friends evolved along with Fluttercruel. Trixie did as well.
Things self-destructed soon afterwards. Fluttercruel had begin to feel trapped and useless, not being able to do anything. She also didn't feel that she was alive. The frustration she felt caused her to take control of Flutterchy's body for an extended period of time. Fluttercruel was now the Alicorn, and Fluttershy the steed. She felt like she was alive.
Fluttercruel decided to make the best of this situation by enjoying her freedom. She dyed her hair, modeled for a famous photographer, danced at a night club, and drank enough to get hammered. Fluttershy didn't like any of this at all, so the two began arguing. Fluttercruel realized Fluttershy never faced an important lesson, so Fluttercruel took it upon herself to teach her that lesson.
They flew over to The Everfree Forest and Fluttercruel tried to teach her the cruelty of nature. She pointed out the survival of the fittest and the need for some animals to slaughter others in order to survive. She also pointed out that nature competes against itself, pointing to two nearby trees, saying that their roots would struggle against one another.
Fluttercruel ended the lesson, saying she didn't even exist. She let Fluttershy take control of their body again. However, the lesson went the complete opposite of good. Fluttercruel had Discorded Fluttershy. No, worse... he had turned her into an evil Nightmare. Fluttercruel quickly realized her mistake and tried to do anything in her power to save Fluttershy, but ultimately failed and died. Fluttershy was now Princess Gaia.
Princess Gaia swore to make the entire world kind, no matter what. She wandered through the Everfree Forest for a time, eventually happening on The Elder Horn, an artifact of great power. She took it and it further transformed her and increased her magic, transforming her into an Alicorn-like shape. From there, she happened upon Sunny Town. There, she met some ponies such as Mitta, Starlet, and Roneo. Yes, Story of the Blanks is canon in this fanfic.
It turned out Sunny Town is cursed, so Princess Gaia decided to break the curse by taking the curse. She transformed Sunny Town and The Everfree(Now Everkind) Forest into a paradise and further extended her kindness by taking everyone's pain into herself. Hubris, addiction, fear of ostracization, mental disorders, everyone. She created a fog over all of Equestria, transforming almost everyone into a baby foal. Those that weren't transformed were turned into her personal guardians for the foals.
Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Trixie Midsummernight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Spike, Pinkie Diane Pie, and Zecora made their way through Everkind in order to find the source of the trouble. They eventually found Princess Gaia in the very same castle they fought Nightmare Moon. The group chatted with Princess Gaia pleasantly, then trying to convince her to stop forcing the world to be kind.
It wasn't until Applejack noticed there wasn't any truth in her eyes that things had progressed. Princess Gaia wasn't Princess Gaia. Below the guise of Princess Gaia was Nightmare Whisper, The Kindest of Lies. Nightmare Whisper was a gigantic, mutated eldritch abomination shaped as a pony.
The group further tried convincing Nightmare Whisper. It didn't take, and most of the group had to resort to violence to try and save Fluttershy from Nightmare Whisper. Twilight tried performing a memory spell as she had when she restored the others from being Discorded. It failed, but it showed just how much sorrow and pain all of Equestria was feeling, all inside Nightmare Whisper. So much so that Twilight was Discorded for a short while.
During the fight, Fluttercruel stood on trial held in Tartarus, a place designed for the worst of the worst creatures. Hell for ponies. Fluttercruel decided to give absolutely all fucks and help Fluttershy any way she can. This involved her fighting her way out of Tartarus, back to the real world, gaining many wounds and scars in the process. Fluttercruel confessed to everyone that she was the one that turned Fluttershy into Nightmare Whisper.
She felt so guilty over that fact, that she cried and begged for forgiveness. However, she stopped when she realized she still had to help Fluttershy. This resulted in Nightmare Whisper using The Stare on Fluttercruel, but she fired back with A Stare of her own. Fluttercruel won the staredown, giving ample time for everyone to realize that Nightmare Whisper was doing all these things because she loved everything. This realization lead to The Elements of Harmony being manifested without the use of any artifacts.
Twilight, the Element of Magic, Applejack, the Element of Honesty, Rarity, the Element of Generosity, Pinkie Diane, the Element of Laughter, Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty... and Fluttercruel the Element of Kindness... and Trixie Midsummernight, the Element of Magic, had all manifested within them. However, all but one contributed to the reharmonization of Fluttershy... Trixie didn't want to lose herself.
Fluttercruel was dissolving in a void due to using magic that's against Discord's magic. Fluttercruel still didn't think she was anything, so she was perfectly fine with that. However, when Fluttershy showed up and pointed out Fluttercruel's cutie mark, she convinced her that the chaos-born Fluttercruel DID exist, and wasn't just some warped copy. Fluttercruel's cutie mark was of two hooves, as if one pony was helping another off the ground. Fluttershy and Fluttercruel were free.
They did it, but Fluttershy was still holding all the pain. After some more convincing, she let go of all the pain, allowing each suffering and misery to go back where it belonged. After recouping, they decided to travel back to Ponyville. There, Princesses Celestia and Luna greeted them. And they both punished Fluttershy and Fluttercruel. Luna by confusing which was the original and which was what was made after Discord, Celestia by telling Fluttershy that she could have killed billions of unborn foals. Princess Celestia gave them the power to switch between themselves at will, and after a while, The Flutters stood on a podium in front of a croud apologiing to everyone.
A time after, Fluttercruel's Cute-ceñera was held and she formally introduced herself to everyone. It went along chaotically fun and everyone enjoyed the celebration or 'Cruel getting her cutie mark. Life went on as usual. The Flutters adapted into society as best as they could while sharing the same body. They met a coffee shop owner named Coffee Swirl. Visits were frequent and a small incident helped Fluttershy become a better pony.
Later on, The Flutters ordered a hamburger and a Veggieburger. 'Cruel wanted the hamburger. She got the Veggieburger. Later that day, they had a journey into their own minds, where they met Flutterrage, the version of Fluttershy that was let out at the Gala. Luna's punishment came back full force. One of them had to absorb Flutterrage or risk their mind breaking down into nothing. After some panicked arguing, Fluttershy absorbed Flutterrage to gain the ability of feeling angry.
But, when a Minotaur named Iron Will came to Ponyville, 'Cruel decided to help 'Shy by taking her one of the Minotaur's self-help seminars. It was going good at first, but soon Fluttershy turned into a mean jerk who did what she want. Fluttercruel felt it was a shallow parody of herself. What's worse was that the ponies who still worshiped Fluttershy as Princess Gaia imitated this New Fluttershy. It got to the point where New Fluttershy was insulting everyone on a personal level, even Fluttercruel herself. The incident ended with Fluttercruel not feeling guilty over the Princess Gaia incident, 'Cruel gaining Iron Will as a crush, a physical fight between The Flutters, and apologies all around.
The Flutters still visit Sunny Town to try and help the cursed ponies to become uncursed. Both of them forgave Discord, life continued on, having ups and downs as usual, and all was peaceful. That is, until one day, when The Flutters were at a picnic with some friends. Fluttercruel suddenly got an extremely severe headache for no reason. This headache was so bad, it made Fluttercruel lose control of her flying, fall, and break her neck.
When They opened their eyes next, they were standing in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, They were in a place like nothing they'd ever seen. They were approached by humans, telling them that they were dead and were offered a job as a Reaper. They took it, thinking it would help challenge others to become better and stronger. They then promptly disappeared for most of a week when Fluttershy wanted to go in hiding. When they came out of hiding, they met someone named Kreutzer, and they quickly became friends. Since then, The Flutters went on to do their duty as Reapers.
However, all was not peaceful as things starting going off the wheels during her second week as a Reaper. There, everyone was transported to a strange village called Lutie where everyone thought the Reapers and Players were merely just monsters to be destroyed and looted. Kreutzer had gotten onto a spot of trouble with the native inhabitants, which The Flutters decided to try and get her out of. At first, they tried reasoning with the native inhabitants, but they were unreasonable and it devolved into a fight for a short time.
At the end of the week, Fluttercruel was told that harming people was against the rules, and was therefore punished by not being able to drink coffee for a week. For The Flutters' third week of being a Reaper, things were going semi-smoothly in Port Island until Ryoji, a fellow Reaper, was bought back to life and transformed into a monstrous creature, which The Flutters attempted to fight in order to try and bring back Ryoji.
However, week 4 for The Flutters as a Reaper was shocking. A new type of noise revealed itself. This new noise was able and willing to attack the players and reapers of the game. A lot of victims were claimed, among them were a few friends of both Kreutzer and The Flutters. This tragic event caused The Flutters to finally go rogue and stop following commands and helping people get better and stronger so she can try and investigate just what was making things become so unsafe.
Week 5 for The Flutters as a Reaper was, however, the end of her job. Everyone found themselves in a decrepit, abandoned Shibuya, Japan. Everyone wanted to find out for themselves just what was going on, even The Flutters themselves, because no one was told to help others get better or set missions. This event ended uneventfully, as The Flutters just wandered around and looted a few stores in order to snatch a new pin for herself. The Flutters have absolutely no idea what was going on, or even if they would be transported to a different location after the week was up.
Personality:
Fluttershy
Fluttershy is very shy. I'm not sure if you knew that already. She has trouble expressing any sort of bravery to the point where she can be frightened by her own shadow and leaves falling on her. She is very submissive to the point where she can even promise not to have fun. However, she's also gentle and loving. She cares deeply for her friends; both ponies and animals alike. Thusly, she's very kind and polite, embodying the Element of Kindness.
However, there's signs of a much darker side to Fluttershy. She can be pushed too far. If she sees someone she cares about getting hurt or threatened, she casts aside all of her cowardice in order to stand up to the victims and to chastise whoever is victimizing the victims. She basically becomes an angry mother demanding they do the right thing.
Fluttershy also carries a lot of guilt over the Princess Gaia incident. True to her submissive nature, she believes any negative action toward her counts as her punishment for mesing up. She's gotten better about it overtime, but it's still there.
Fluttercruel
Cruelly, at first glance, is the embodiment of cruelty. she's aggressive, direct, and very foul-mouthed. She's like a bizarro version of Fluttershy. Where Fluttershy is a coward, Fluttercruel prefers to be relaxed, casual, and free-spirited. She also has a wide stubborn streak, willing to do anything to get what she wants, provided Fluttershy doesn't stop her. True to her darker nature, her appearance is also darker.
But there's more to this mare than the eye meets. Cruelly loves Fluttershy as a mother to the point where the two are literally inseparable. She may be a bit of a jerk at times, but Fluttercruel also embodies the element of kindness. Her motto is "Cruel to be kind". And she'll do exactly that, whether it be knocking out someone who hasn't slept in days with a frying pan or continuously insulting someone in order to have them prove her wrong.
However, she can be egotistical and self-centered at times. She insists that she's her own pony and not just some disease or mental illness. Whenever anyone uggests otherwise, she'll likely get angry. Che can also be childish at times, making juvenile jokes or insults.
Both
Though the relationship between the two are Mother(Fluttershy) and Daughter(Fluttercruel), they do not always get along due to differing tastes. This can lead to physical violence between the two. Their conflicting viewpoints can also lead to them arguing mentally against each other. But when it comes down to it, either one will support the other in times of need.
Strengths:
Both Fluttershy and Fluttercruel possess The Element of Kindness, so both are able to use their element to power The Elements of Harmony. Both preoccupy the same body of a Pegasus, so both have the power of flight and can theoretically manipulate weather. Because both preoccupy the same body, Fluttershy and Fluttercruel can switch who's taking control of it at will or by force. Fluttershy has a natural gift of taking care of and being able to understand animals.
However, they both possess their greatest weapon: The Stare. It's function is to intimidate it's target into submission, and has beaten a dragon, a cockatrice, and an evil, insane version of Fluttershy... who was using The Stare right back. However, The Stare can't be controlled and only comes out in the most dire situations.
They are both also dead. They're a Reaper, which means they can travel between the living world and Tartarus Whilst in Tartarus, they may be able to use various pins with various special abilities, such as creating barriers and telekinetically attacking things. These pins can also be used on the denizens that occupy Tartarus. In the living world, these pins have no special ability.
Weaknesses:
Just because two people are occupying a single body doesn't mean that they totally function in sync with each other. It could lead to some awkward situations where Fluttershy may react to one of Fluttercruel's thoughts, leaving her to look insane.
In addition to that, Fluttershy and Fluttercruel are also weak fliers, being unable to fly as fast as a normal pegasus. This is because Fluttershy has spent the majority of her life on the ground.
Fluttercruel isn't that old, and is therefore emotionally immature. She often whines whenever she doesn't get her way, or has more temper tantrums than a normal adult would have. She'll also resort to childish name calling at times, and may even break down crying when emotionally hit hard enough. She also has an addiction to coffee and can get irritable whenever she doesn't have at least one cup a day.

[The scroll opens up to a familiar face. Except it doesn't really seem so familiar. It's different. It's Fluttershy... except for the fact that the entirety of her seems duller and darker. You may also notice that her eyes are sort of slitted like a dragon, or that she has some small fangs.]
Bucking higher-ups... Okay, everyone, listen up because we have some demands. The first one... Where the buck is Kreutzer? ...Or Asakura? We didn't wake up in a train, and our bucking phone isn't working.
[She pauses, bringing up a strange object some of you may recognize as a cell phone. She fiddles with it for a little bit, then grunts and puts it away.]
We're not getting any signal either... Did you buck up our phones!? Where the buck is Lovers!? You cancelled the game, and we demand answers! Now! Come on, you slimy pieces of dragon fewmet-eating-
[Just then, Fluttershy seems to cut herself off from saying anything else. Another strange thing happens. Fluttershy's mane and tail go back to a lighter, more vibrant shade, the fangs disappear and the eyes go back to normal.]
Um, I'm terribly sorry about her... But can you, um, please give us some answers, now that the game is over?
Third Person:
Fluttershy and Fluttercruel were sort of freaking out. They were back in Ponyville. It was their home. Before they died. Sure, she had only been gone for a couple of months, but The Flutters still felt weird. Before, she was in an abandoned town, covered in plants and moss, destroyed. The Taboo Noise were on the prowl and players and reapers alike were disappearing. The higher ups had cancelled the game, but for what purpose? If the game was cancelled, shouldn't she have been sent back home? She took a sip of her coffee, and then...
They woke up and looked around. They saw familiar buildings and people. Ponies here and there, she recognized. She looked around some more. She couldn't find anyone she recognized that was from the game. No Ryoji, no Kreutzer, no Grovyle, no Lovers, not even Asakura. Was she really back home? Did it really take that much time to return her home? Fluttershy and Fluttercruel were sort of freaking out. But it was in a good way. They were both extremely happy to be back home.
But something lingered in the back of Fluttercruel's mind. Fluttershy and Fluttercruel looked to the direction of The Everfree Forest. It... it was almost as if there was a tug, urging them to go in that direction. Neither of them understood why that tug was there, so anger filled their body. Just what exactly were the higher-ups planning and why did they want The Flutters to head to The Everfree Forest? Fluttercruel was going to get some answers, even if she had to beat them out of people.
